UN inquiry committee: “Israel” is committing war crimes and breaking international law

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Oct. 17 (YPA) – The United Nations Independent Committee of Inquiry into the Occupied and Palestinian Territories has announced in its report that “the Israeli strikes on Gaza between May 2021 and August 2023, constitute a war crime and the ban on humanitarian aid entering Gaza violates international law.”

The committee explained that this report was completed before the outbreak of recent violence and covers the period from May 2021 to August 2023.

The report also noted that the damage and injuries resulting from the Israeli attacks (in Gaza) were disproportionate to the military advantage, and therefore these actions constitute a war crime.

In addition, the committee noted that “the ban on the import of food and supplies is a violation of international humanitarian law.”
