PMF declares its position on war against Gaza

BAGHDAD, Oct. 15 (YPA) -The head of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces(PMF), Faleh al-Fayyadh, said his country would carry out all duties towards the Palestinians, whether in terms of aid or military level.

“The project of displacing the residents of Gaza is miserable, and it cannot be implemented,” Al-Fayyad said in an interview with Al-Mayadeen on Saturday evening, adding that “it is impossible for Iraq to be a springboard for harming the Palestinians, but rather a springboard for supporting them.”

He added: “The Al-Aqsa flood operation showed that the occupation entity is shaken. The US is a key partner of the occupation.”

“What the resistance is doing is a reaction to the crimes of the enemy,” he said.

Al-Fayyad affirmed that Iraq will remain “the main support for the Palestinian resistance, and will not allow the Americans to support the occupation against the Palestinians.”

The Iraqi parliament will hold a special session tomorrow to support Gaza, he stated, adding that “a campaign of in-kind and material assistance to support the people of the Gaza Strip was launched.”

Regarding the results of the “Al-Aqsa Flood” epic, Al-Fayyad said: “The consequences of what happened in the Gaza Strip are great, and its results will appear soon, especially in the issue of normalization.”
