SANAA, Oct. 12 (YPA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian arrived in the Iraqi capital Baghdad on Thursday and was received by a number of Iraqi officials.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry said in a statement published on its Telegram channel that “Hossein Amir Abdollahian arrived at Baghdad airport a few minutes ago, and he was received in Baghdad by Iraqi officials, including Iraqi national security adviser Qassim al-Araji”.
Earlier, the Iranian Foreign Minister had said: “I will start a regional tour from Iraq, passing through Syria and then Lebanon, to hold consultative meetings with officials”.
A source in the Iranian Foreign Ministry denied the news that a plane carrying the Iranian Foreign Minister returned and changed its route due to the Israeli aggression on Damascus International Airport.
