SANAA, Oct. 12 (YPA) – The Yemeni Parliament expressed its support for the statements made in the speech by Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr Al-Din Al-Houthi concerning the recent developments in the Palestinian situation.
During its session on Wednesday, the Parliament highly valued Sayyed Abdulmalik’s positions, which are grounded in his convictions and sense of responsibility. These positions reflect the hopes and aspirations of the Yemeni people and the broader Arab and Islamic community.
It called upon Arab nations to stand with the Palestinian people, providing the necessary support and solidarity. It urged the sending of humanitarian aid convoys, including food, medicine, and fuel, to address the siege and aggression led by the Zionist entity, with the backing of the United States and the United Kingdom. These acts of aggression have targeted hospitals, mosques, and residential areas in the Gaza Strip.
The Parliament also reiterated its call to countries that have normalized relations with Israel, urging them to reconsider their stances. They should not align with the plans of the Zionist entity, supported by the United States, against the Palestinian people. Instead, they should return to the Arab side and respect the will of their citizens, as well as the free individuals of the Arab nation who have shown solidarity with their Palestinians. They support the legitimate right of Palestinians to self-defense against the Zionist occupiers.
Furthermore, the Parliament renewed its call to Arab and Islamic parliaments and the Arab and Islamic populations to exert pressure on the governments of countries that have normalized relations with Israel. They should push these governments to reconsider their positions regarding the Palestine issue. The Council encourages them to maintain their solidarity, support, and assistance to the Palestinian people, while countering the Western American campaign against the Palestinian people and their heroic resistance.
The Parliament held the international community, the United Nations, and the Security Council accountable for their silence in the face of the massacres, genocidal warfare, and the complete blockade imposed on the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. These actions represent a flagrant violation of international humanitarian norms and conventions.
