Meteorology expects cold weather targeting various areas of Yemen

SANAA, Oct. 10 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology expected relatively cold weather targeting the mountainous highlands in several Yemeni provinces.

The center affirmed, in its weather forecast, the cold wave may hit the provinces of Bayda, Dhalea, Dhamar, Sanaa, Amran and Saada.

The forecast indicated to the possibility of rain falling in separate areas of Lahj, Taiz, Dhalea, Ibb, Rayma, Tihama Plain, And some areas of Abyan province.

It also expected the weather in the coastal areas to be fair to partly cloudy, with the possibility of scattered rain on the Socotra Archipelago and parts of the eastern and southern coasts.

The winds may be active around the Socotra Archipelago and Bab al-Mandab, and their speed ranges between 10-23 knots.
