UAE tools carry out campaign to demolish citizens’ homes in Socotra

SOCOTRA, Oct. 09 (YPA) – The local authority in the Socotra Archipelago province, affiliated with the Southern Transitional Council (STC) loyal to the UAE, carried out on Monday a demolition campaign of homes on the coastal strip of the archipelago.

Local sources reported that the STC militia carried out the campaign of demolishing the homes of citizens in the Socotra Archipelago under the pretext of establishing a corniche under the name “Mohamed bin Zayed.”

According to the sources, the demolition operation took place in the city of Hadibo, the capital of Socotra, under the guidance of Raafat Al-Thaqli, head of the STC in the archipelago, who holds the position of governor of the province.

The campaign, which comes as part of the crimes of the UAE occupation in tampering with the capabilities and privacy of the archipelago, met with popular anger and widespread dissatisfaction by citizens in Socotra.
