Yemeni Parliament condemns coalition’s decision to cancel Yemeni Airlines flights to Jordan
SANAA, Oct. 01 (YPA) – The Yemeni Parliament in Sanaa on Sunday condemned the decision of the government loyal to the Saudi-led coalition to cancel Yemeni Airlines flights from Sanaa Airport to Jordan.
In a statement issued in its session, headed by Deputy Speaker Abdulsalam Saleh Zabiya, the Parliament emphasized that these actions, which came under flimsy justifications reflecting continued intransigence, arrogance, and disdain for the Yemeni people’s suffering, are an extension of the policy of tampering with the capabilities of the Yemeni people, plundering their wealth.
The statement stated that “tampering with Yemeni people’s wealth is part of a larger plan to dissipate it in favor of mercenaries and loiterers in Riyadh, Abu Dhabi, and other global hotels, and to cover up a scandal involving the sale of the telecommunications sector in Aden to an Emirati investor.”
The Parliament also confirmed that at a time when negotiations and agreements were being made to expand and add new destinations for flights after allowing flights to Cairo and India, these measures came as a pretext for the siege, closing the airport, and evading peace obligations.
