Yemenis prepare to celebrate birthday of Prophet Muhammad

SANAA, Sept. 26 (YPA) 0 The Yemeni capital Sanaa and many other provinces have been witnessing official preparations for the celebration of the anniversary of the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), which is annually commemorated on the 12th day of the Islamic month of Rabi al-Awwal, which this year coincides with the Gregorian date of September 27.

The organizing committees confirmed today – Tuesday – that the preparations and arrangements at the health, organizational, security and other fields have been completed and the squares are 100% ready to receive the crowds tomorrow, Wednesday.

For its part, the Ministry of Public Health and Population said that it had completed all health arrangements in all squares.

According to a report issued by the ministry, the number of medical camps allocated by the ministry and its offices in the governorates in cooperation with the private sector. A total of 70 medical camps with 4,929 medical, technical, emergency and supervisory staff have been set up in all the squares.

The report stated that 106 ambulances with 564 staff have been secured for all squares, as well as 177 ambulances with 385 staff on roads leading to squares and highways outside the cities.

Meanwhile, The Yemenis have their own way to celebrate the Prophet Mohammed’s Birthday, Known as Al-Mawlid An-Nabawi. They decorate their vehicles ahead of the celebrations. Most of the streets of the capital Sanaa are decorated with green lights.

During the night, all state facilities and buildings are illuminated with a green light. The atmosphere gives the walkers spirituality and tranquility.
