Meteorology expects hot conditions in desert areas of Yemen

SANAA, Sept. 26 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology expected on Tuesday hot conditions in the desert areas, with maximum temperatures ranging between 37-42 degrees Celsius.

The center indicated, in its weather bulletin, winds is likely active to strong around the Socotra Archipelago, the southern coasts, and the Gulf of Aden, with speeds reaching between 15-26 knots, while it will be moderate on the eastern coasts and the entrance to Bab al-Mandab, ranging its speeds between 10-17 knots.

It also expected rainfall of varying intensity, accompanied by thunderstorms, on parts of the provinces of Lahj, Dhalea, Taiz, Ibb, Dhamar, Raymah, Mahweet, Hajjah, and Saada.

The center pointed out the possibility of light to moderate rains in parts of Bayda, Abyan, Shabwa, Hadramout, Sanaa, Amran, Socotra and the eastern and southern coasts.
