Armed clashes break out in Lahj, leave 3 dead

LAHJ, Sept. 25 (YPA) – Armed clashes broke out on Monday between tribal gunmen, leaving dead and injured, including prominent sheikhs in Lahj province.

Local sources in the governorate said that “clashes broke out between gunmen of Al-Atira and Al-Khalifa tribes in Tur Al-Baha, west of Lahj, leaving three dead, including Sheikh Fares al-Khalifi and Audi Saleh al-Khalifi”.

The sources added that the confrontations left five injured on both sides due to the vendetta between the two tribes since the past years.
