Taxes’ revenues spark conflict among UAE-backed factions in Aden

ADEN, Sept. 19 (YPA) – Revenues of the Immigration and Passports Department’s taxes sparked on Tuesday a sharp conflict between the leaders of the UAE-backed armed factions in the city of Aden, south of Yemen.

Local sources in the city reported that leaders in the pro-UAE Southern Transitional Council (STC) factions closed the Immigration and Passports Center in the Crater area due to administrative disputes on the revenues.

The sources indicated that disputes arose between the bodyguards of the Department, which belongs to the STC, and the center’s administration over dues without granting them their rights.
