HADRAMOUT, Sept. 09 (YPA) – The Early Warning Center in Hadramout on Saturday monitored the first earthquake that struck the coast of one of the Yemeni cities after the earthquake that caused the death of more than 1037 citizens in the kingdom of Morocco during the past hours.
The center confirmed that it detected a marine seismic tremor with a magnitude of 4.4 Richter off the coast of Mukalla city, indicating that the epicenter of the tremor is 162 km away from Mukalla at a shallow depth of 10 km.
The center pointed out that the seismic tremor was not felt by the residents, considering the tremor within the natural record in the Gulf of Aden tectonic fault line, and there are no risks from it.
