IDPs situation discussed in Mahweet
MAHWEET, July 5 (YPA) – A meeting in the governorate of Mahweet, which included a number of offices and organizations concerned with displaced persons, discussed steps and practical measures to alleviate the suffering of Hodiedah displaced.
The meeting reviewed the field inventory report for Hodeidah displaced, the nature of the needs to be provided and the role of local organizations and authorities to provided relief and shelter.
The deputy director of the National Authority for the Administration and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, Ahmed Marwan, pointed out to the Authority’s plan to provide relief and assistance to the displaced people of Hodeidah as a result of the Saudi-led coalition aggression shelling of their areas and villages.
Marwan called on humanitarian organizations to make their efforts and objectives into serious action to support the displaced and to provide for their essential needs.
The meeting appreciated the efforts of the leadership of Mahweet province and its role in helping the displaced and affected people in light of the exceptional challenges facing Yemen.
