Israeli forces arrest Islamic Jihad leader Saeed Nakhleh

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Sept. 07 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces arrested at dawn on Thursday, the leader of the Islamic Jihad movement, Sheikh Saeed Nakhleh, after storming his house in Al-Jalazun refugee camp, north of Ramallah.

According to Palestinian sources, a large force of the occupation army, reinforced by military vehicles, stormed the Jalazoun refugee camp, north of Ramallah, and raided the house of the leader Saeed Nakhleh, before arresting him and taking him to the interrogation centers.

There has been no information about Nakhleh’s fate so far.

Sheikh Saeed Nakhleh is part of the founding generation of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ). He is married and a father of five children. He was arrested several times, during which he spent more than 17 years in Israeli prisons, and was detained in PA prisons for three years.
