Protest in Taiz commemorates fourth anniversary of massacre against prisoners of Dhamar Community College
TAIZ, Sept. 04 (YPA) – The families of the victims of the Saudi-led coalition’s bombing of Community College in Dhamar commemorated the fourth anniversary of the massacre with a protest in front of the headquarters of the local authority in the city of Taiz on Saturday, demanding an international investigation into the crime.
The Saudi-Emirati coalition warplanes targeted the Community College in Dhamar Governorate, which was a detention center for prisoners loyal to the coalition. The attack left about 134 prisoners killed and 45 others were injured, in a crime that shook Yemeni public opinion.
The families of the victims in the city of Taiz, who raised candles to revive the massacre, demanded in a statement, the opening of an international investigation and the accountability of those involved in its perpetration.
The statement denounced the continued international and humanitarian silence towards the crime, which is still in the midst of humanitarian crimes, considering that the crime was carried out with premeditation despite the knowledge of the coalition, the United Nations and the Red Cross that the Dhamar Community College is a detention center for prisoners.
