Protest rally staged in Mocha against UAE-backed armed factions

TAIZ, Sep. 03 (YPA) – A protest rally was staged on Sunday against the armed factions loyal to the UAE in Mocha district of Taiz province.

In the rally, dozens of residents of the city of Mocha demand to hand over the perpetrators of the assassination of Sheikh Ali Al-Haisi.

The participants accused the UAE-backed factions of covering up the perpetrators of the crime and preventing the accused from being handed over to justice.

They stressed that the protection of the accused inside camps of UAE-funded Tariq Saleh, nephew of the former president Ali Abdullah Saleh, confirming that the crime of assassinating Al-Haisi is a political crime.

Sheikh Ali Al-Haisi, one of the leaders of the Islah Party in the city of Mocha, was killed on June 5 by gunmen believed to belong to the factions led by Tariq Saleh.
