Ministry of Electricity takes legal actions against 18 private stations in Sanaa

SANAA, Aug. 22 (YPA) – The Ministry of Electricity and Energy in Sanaa referred on Tuesday 18 commercial power plants belonging to the private sector to the Industry and Trade Prosecution for violating the tariff and subscription price set by the ministry.

The Minister of Electricity, Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti, stated in a press statement that these measures followed field campaigns by the electricity teams to ensure that the private power stations adhered to the tariff price and the subscription value approved by the ministry.

According to Al-Bukhaiti, more than 90% of the private electrical stations adhered to the Ministry of Electricity’s approved tariff, confirming that the field campaigns will continue.
