SAADA, Aug 18 (YPA) – Two people died on the outskirts of Saada city and others were injured as a result of heavy rains that hit the province last night.
According to a report issued by the Hygiene and Improvement Fund in Saada, two residents died near the garbage dump in the Qahza area on the outskirts of Saada city, while the guard of the dump miraculously survived.
On the other hand, local sources said that one car swept away by floods in the Hamzat area of Sahar district.
In addition, unofficial sources indicate that more than 300 houses, facilities and tents were demolished and damaged during the past hours as a result of the torrential rains in a number of areas of Saada Governorate.
The affected people accused the official bodies and humanitarian organizations of not playing their role in providing relief and assistance to them.
