Abdul Salam reveals nature of Omani delegation’s visit to Sanaa

SANAA, Aug. 17 (YPA) – Head of the Sanaa national negotiating delegation, Mohammed Abdul-Salam revealed on Thursday the nature of Omani delegation’s visit to the Yemeni capital Sanaa.

He said in a news statement that the visit of the Omani delegation comes in the context of the Omani mediation efforts to revive the negotiating process and assess the stage.

“We are working to revive the negotiating process, starting with the humanitarian file and its catastrophic repercussions, whether in opening airports and ports and paying salaries,” Abdul-Salam stated.

He explained the consultations will be held with the leadership to revive the negotiation process within a clear vision that addresses the most urgent humanitarian files affecting every Yemeni citizen.

“If the negotiation process does not begin to implement the humanitarian items, it is not possible to build on the positive intentions of the other party,” he added.

Abdul-Salam stressed that “it is necessary to start improving the situation of the airport and ports, and removing many restrictions, because the blockade.”

He referred to the position unified by America, Britain, Saudi Arabia and the Emirates in obstructing the humanitarian file.
