Meteorology issues statement on weather changes in Yemen

SANAA, Aug 17 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology issued on Thursday a statement on the weather changes in Yemen.

In a daily weather bulletin, the center expected rains of varying intensity, accompanied by hailstones, in various areas north of Lahj, Taiz, Dhalea, Ibb, Rayma, Dhamar, Mahweet, Sanaa, Hajjah, Amran, Saada, Jawf, and Marib.

It indicated that the rains may extend to Bayda, the heights and plateaus of Abyan, Shabwa, and Hadramout, as well as to Mahra.

The maximum temperatures will range between 33-38 degrees Celsius on the coastal areas and the Socotra archipelago.

It calls o citizens not to be present in the valleys and water ways as a result of rains and the soil slip.
