Al-Attas attacks Southern Transition Council as “racist”

ADEN, July 5 (YPA) – Former Southern Yemeni Prime MinisterHaidar Abu Bakr al-Attas attacked the transitional council and the security belt forces, describing them as a “racist”.

The move came in a statement from his office on Tuesday and obtained by Yemen Press News Agency.

The engineer, al-Attas, denied all the news that he had accepted to take the chairmanship of the Southern Transitional Council, succeeding Maj. General al-Zabeidi .

Al-Attas confirmed that the rumors were untrue, saying that the Southern Transition Council is a failure and racist, adding his history would not allow him to join the Council, which had become popularly rejected.
