Sanaa refers 9 defendants in 2 corruption cases to Public Prosecution Office

SANAA, Aug. 06 (YPA) – The Supreme National Authority for Combating Corruption (SNACC) approved on Saturday the results of the investigation procedures in two corruption cases and the referral of nine defendants in the two cases to the Public Funds Prosecution.

The two corruption cases include the facilitation of appropriation of public funds and embezzlement, and the amount of damage amounted to 249 million and 350 thousand riyals and 14 thousand US dollars, in addition to the incidents of forgery of official documents and papers and the seizure of state lands.

The SNACC ordered measures be taken to seize the funds of the accused, equivalent to the amount of damage to public money.
