SANAA, July 28 (YPA) – The National Meteorology Center expected on Friday, hot to very hot weather in the coastal areas and deserts, and rains of varying intensity, accompanied by thunderstorms in a number of provinces during the next 24 hours.
In its weather forecast, the center predicted hot to very hot weather during the day in the deserts and interior plateaus, with maximum temperatures range between 38-48 degrees Celsius. Hot and humid weather is expected in the coastal areas and plains, with maximum temperatures ranging between 32-40 degrees Celsius.
“ Rain accompanied by thunderstorms, is likely to hit parts of the provinces of Saada, Amran, Mahwit, Hajjah, Sanaa, Raymah, Dhamar, Ibb, Dhalea, Taiz, Lahj, Bayda, Abyan, Shabwa, Hadramout Plateau and Mahra,” the center said
The center warned citizens of hot and very hot weather in the above-mentioned areas and advised them not to be directly exposed to the blazing sun during the day.
It called on citizens not to be in valleys and torrent passages in areas where rain is expected, to take shelter from thunderstorms, and not to use mobile phones.
