Iraq: 4 magnitude earthquake hits Basra

BASRA, July 25 (YPA) – A 4-magnitude earthquake was recorded in Basra Governorate, southern Iraq, the Iraqi News Agency (INA) reported.

According to INA, The Ministry’s seismic observatories in the General Authority for Meteorology and Seismic Monitoring recorded an earthquake in Basra Governorate.

The statement stated that “the earthquake was recorded at exactly 12:22:36 a.m. today, Tuesday, local time, with a magnitude of (4) degrees, 22 km northeast Al-Hartha.”

The statement added, “no losses were reported.”
