Two dead, three injured in suffocation accident in Mahweet

MAHWEET, July 16 (YPA) – Two girls died and a third girl and two women were injured in an accident of suffocation in Bani Al-Jalabi village of Hajar Bin Hatem area of Mahweet province on Saturday.

The province’s police confirmed the death of each of Lian Saleh Rajeh, 3 years old, and her sister, Bayan Saleh Rajeh, 2 years old, and the injury of Luji Saleh Rajeh, 4 years old, Kathiya Muhammad Al Badri, 50 years old, and Amna Ahmed Rashid, 25 years old, due to suffocation after setting the fire inside the house for the purpose of expelling mosquitoes.

The police warned all citizens against using primitive methods to expel harmful insects, which may endanger their lives.
