Suicide bomber blows himself up in Shabwa

SHABWA, July 08 (YPA) – A suicide bomber blew himself up on Friday evening near a gathering of the UAE-funded Al-Amaliqa Forces and Shabwa Defense Forces affiliated with the Southern Transitional Council (STC) in Bayhan district, Shabwa province, southern Yemen.

According to preliminary information, the suicide bomber blew himself up before arriving at the guesthouse, which is used by the Al-Amaliqa Forces and the Shabwa defense as a resting place.

The explosion left wounded the UAE-backed militias.

Elements of the so-called al-Qaeda organization are fighting the Shabwa Defense Forces, and said in a previous statement that their war in Shabwa is in defense of the Islah party and rehabilitated it.

The group released scenes showing its drone operations targeting Shabwa defense camps in al-Musaina’a area.
