SANAA, July 04 (YPA) – The National Meteorology Center expected on Tuesday rains of varying intensity accompanied by thunderstorms in a number of provinces, and hot to very hot weather in deserts and coastal areas during the next 24 hours.
In its weather forecast, the center predicted rains of varying intensity in parts of the provinces of Dhamar, Raymah, Ibb al-Dhalea, Taiz, Lahj and Abyan , as well as on Heights of Shabwa province.
It also predicted scattered rains, which may be accompanied by thunderstorms on parts of the provinces Saada, Amran, Hajjah, Mahwit, Sanaa, Lahj, Bayda and the Hadramout plateau.
The center called on citizens not to be in valleys and torrent passages in areas where rain is expected, to take shelter from thunderstorms, and not to use mobile phones.
It warned motorists on mountain roads of low horizontal visibility during rain, and of crossing bridges and underground tunnels during the flow of torrents.
