SANAA, July 03 (YPA) – A researcher specializing in monitoring and tracking antiquities smuggled from Yemen has revealed that an artifact from Yemen’s ancient history will be sold in the coming hours at an international auction in the British capital, London.
Researcher Abdullah Mohsen said in a post on “Facebook” today, Monday, that “the magic necklace of gold, agate, and the letters of Al-Musnad from approximately the third century AD will be sold after hours in the auction (Antiquities Discoveries held by the Blackas Auction House).”
The magic necklace is made of gold in the form of a semicircle, embracing at the bottom a horizontal red Yemeni agate stone, inscribed on the face with letters from the Al-Musnad alphabet (the ancient Yemeni calligraphic), and on the back is an inscription of a man carrying a spear surrounded by letters and geometric shapes, Mohsen added.
