UN receives letter from private sector in Sanaa

SANAA, June 27 (YPA) – The leadership of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, has delivered a letter from the private sector to the United Nations.
The letter demanded that ships be allowed to move directly to the port of Hodeida without hindrance and to provide the cranes and machinery necessary to unload goods there.
This came during a meeting held on Monday between the head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ali Mohammed Al-Hadi, and the United Nations Resident Coordinator and the Humanitarian Coordinator for Yemen, David Gressly.
At the meeting, Al-Hadi stressed the need to open Hodeida’s port for commercial ships and facilitate transportation to alleviate the suffering of the people.
