Sanaa holds Zionist enemy responsible for threatening international security, peace

SANAA, June 25 (YPA) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned on Saturday the Zionist enemy’s continued disregard for religious values by providing protection to a number of extremist Zionist settlers who burned and tampered with copies of the Holy Quran.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs considered this criminal act a provocation of the feelings of more than a billion and a half Muslims around the world, and comes within the framework of the Zionist enemy’s efforts to detonate the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The Ministry affirmed that the Zionist enemy will not stop or be deterred from its aggression except with a strong response and confronting it by force. It’s blaming the Zionist enemy and international parties that have turned a blind eye to its aggressions throughout the past period, fully responsible for threatening international peace and security.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs renewed its calls to the Arab regimes that have normalized relations with the Zionist enemy in order to meet the demands of their people to return to the path of righteousness.

The statement called on the Security Council to carry out its responsibility in adopting a resolution criminalizing offenses against religions, religious, symbols and prosecuting perpetrators of hate crimes on the basis of religion and belief, as this constitutes an explicit threat to international peace and security.

The Ministry urged the Human Rights Council to issue a binding resolution criminalizing all forms of hatred and extremism and calling for accountability for the perpetrators.
