SANAA, June 21 (YPA) – Sporadic rains will be expected to prevail over several Yemeni provinces during the coming 24 hours, the National Center of Meteorology said in its weather bulletin on Wednesday.
The center affirmed that the rains, accompanied by thunderstorms, may fall on the provinces of Hajjah, Mahweet, Rayma, Ibb, Taiz, Dhalea, Lahj and Bayda, Saada, Amran, Sanaa and Dhamar.
It pointed to the possibility of high-speed winds blowing around the Socotra Archipelago with more than 45 knots, and ranging between 15-30 knots on the southern and eastern coasts.
The center called on the motorists to drive carefully on the mountain roads as a result of the decrease in horizontal visibility due to rain.
