SANAA, June 12 (YPA) – Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation in Sanaa announced on Sunday the ban on exporting all kinds of bran outside the country.
Dhaifallah Shamlan, deputy for agricultural services sector, revealed that the decision aimed to benefit from the bran inside the country in the development of livestock and its products, in addition, a translation of international trends in order to achieve self-sufficiency.
He pointed out that livestock is one of the main pillars in supporting the national economy and facing the economic war waged by the coalition against Yemen.
Shamlan stressed the keenness of the ministry to encourage local production, provide the necessary facilities, and regulate the circulation of bran in the markets.
He called on exporters to abide by the decision to ban the export of bran, in a way that contributes to the development of the livestock sector, and enhances its role in food security, stressing the importance of coordination and cooperation between the various concerned authorities in this aspect.
