SANAA, June 11 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology called on citizens to taking necessary precautions against heat wave sweeping several province of Yemen.
In a weather forecast, the center expected sporadic rain, accompanied by thunderstorms, would prevail over parts of the provinces of Saada, Hajjah, Mahweet, Amran, Rayma, Dhamar, Ibb, Taiz and Lahj, as well as Abyan and Shabwa.
It indicated that moderate winds, ranging between (20-26 knots) around the Socotra archipelago and east of the Gulf of Aden, may cause turbulence in the sea and high waves.
The center pointed to hot weather, with maximum temperatures ranging between (35-43 degrees Celsius) on the deserts and coasts of the country.
