Hundreds people killed, injured in India traffic accident

INDIAN, June 03 (YPA) – About 50 people were killed and 300 others injured on Friday after a traffic accident in India.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Railways, Shri Amitabh Sharma, said a passenger train coming from the opposite direction derailed and collided with a freight train in Balasore district of the Indian state of Odisha.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Twitter that “rescue operations are still continuing at the accident site.”
