Tribal clashes expand to new areas in Wadi Obaida, Marib

MARIB, May 19 (YPA) – Armed confrontations between the Al-Fajih and Al-Rashid Munif tribes expanded to new areas in Wadi Obaida in Marib province.

According to local sources, the tribal confrontations led to the block of “Al-Abar-Marib” road, which is still cut off as a result of the confrontations.

The sources said that the clashes left about 12 casualties of  both sides.

A Tribal mediation failed to stop the confrontations due to their inability to reach due to heavy fire, according to the sources.

On Thursday, Clashes had erupted on between the tribes of Al-Fajih and Al-Rashid Munif over the right to own the area of Moubasher” in the Marib desert
