Meteorology Center expects rains in several provinces in next 24 hours

SANAA, May 19 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology, predicted on Friday  rains of varying intensity accompanied by thunderstorms to hit a number of provinces over the next 24 hours.

In its weather bulletin, the center stated that varying rains accompanied by thunderstorms expected in the provinces of Lahj, Taiz, Ibb, Dhalea, Dhamar, Raymah, Mahwit, Amran, parts of Sanaa, Saada, and Tihama Plain.

The center indicated the possibility that the rains will extend east to hot the provinces of Jawf, south of Marib, Bayda, Abyan and Shabwa heights, and the Hadramout plateau and Mahra.

The center pointed to hot to very hot weather during the day, and temperatures may range between 34 and 41 degrees Celsius in the deserts and interior plateaus of the governorates of Mahra, Hadramout, Shabwa, Marib, Jawf and parts of the coastal areas and the Socotra archipelago.

The center warned citizens against being in torrents passages and valleys and warned motorists on roads and mountain turns of rockslides.
