UN envoy to update Security Council on Yemen this evening

SANAA, May 17 (YPA) – The UN Special Envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, will inform the UN Security Council on the latest developments in Yemen this evening, Wednesday.

The office of the UN envoy in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, published a link to the live broadcast of the briefing he will be giving tonight, as follows:

The UN envoy had made it clear earlier today that he had met in the US capital, Washington, with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, Coordinator for Middle East and North Africa Affairs in the US National Security Council Brett McGurk, and US Special Envoy to Yemen Timothy Lenderking, as well as a group of American officials, politicians, and analysts.

It is worth noting that the National Salvation Government in Sanaa accused Washington of obstructing peace efforts in Yemen.
