Report: Yemen army carries out military operations in border fronts
SANAA, July 2 (YPA) – Yemen army on Monday launched military operations on Saudi troops in border fronts of Najran, Asir and Jizan Saudi provinces, inflicting them heavy losses in lives and equipment, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.
In Najran, dozens of Saudi-backed militiamen were killed and injured when the army carried out an offensive and artillery shelling on their site in front of Khadhra border crossing.
Also in Najran, the army repelled an infiltration attempt of Saudi soldiers and their militiamen in the west of Shurfa site, killing and wounding dozens, while the artillery shelling targeted gatherings of soldiers and militiamen in the west and east of Sudais site, causing direct casualties, added the official.
Furthermore, dozens of the militiamen were killed and injured when the army destroyed their military vehicle in Boqea desert, as well as the army waged an attack on militiamen’s sites in Asaker hill of Boqea desert, killing and wounding dozens of the militiamen.
In Jizan, the army foiled an infiltration attempt of Saudi soldiers in the east of Mostahdath site in Khuba, killing and wounding dozens.
Also in Jizan, artillery and missile force of the army shelled gatherings of Saudi soldiers and their militiamen in Abu-Madh camp, Madrasah village and in the south of Ma’een valley.
Furthermore, the army repelled a militiamen’s infiltration attempt toward Saba site in Jizan, killing and wounding many.
In Asir, missile and artillery shelling targeted gatherings of Saudi soldiers and their militiamen in front of Alb border crossing, causing direct casualties.
