Iran to send ambassador to Saudi Arabia soon

TEHRAN, May 11 (YPA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian has said that the Islamic Republic will send the ambassador to Riyadh soon.

IRNA quoted Foreign Minister as saying, “there is a strong will among foreign policy officials in Iran and Saudi Arabia to reopen the embassies and consulates of the two countries.”

Amir-Abdollahian explained that the reopening of the Saudi embassy in Tehran and the appointment of the Iranian ambassador to Riyadh will be announced soon.

He added that the normalizing ties between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Saudi Arabia is a huge potential for the two nations, the region, and the Islamic world.
