Ousted general Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar launches sharp attack on Al-Alimi, Saudi Arabia, UAE

ADEN, May 09 (YPA) – A number of media professionals and activists affiliated with the Islah Party and Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar launched a scathing attack on the “Riyadh-formed Presidential Council” after the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) announced outcomes of the so-called Southern Consultative Meeting.

Journalist Saif al-Hadri, who is affiliated with the ousted Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar, said: “What is happening in Aden is the formation of a state within a state, with complicity of the president and members of the Council, government, presidency of House of Representatives, Shura Council, and the leaders of political parties and elites.”

“What is happening in Aden, which is sponsored by the elder sister Saudi Arabia and the UAE, is a confirmation of what is certain that their project in Yemen buried the presidency, the legitimate government, the House of Representatives and the Shura Council, ” he said in a tweet.

He continued: “What is happening in Aden confirms that all silent people are partners in the slaughter of the Republic of Yemen, the division of Yemen and the legitimization of militias.”
