SHABWA, May 07 (YPA) – The militia of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), which is supported by the UAE, increased its presence in the province of Shabwa’s oil-rich areas on Sunday.
This comes in line with trends in the most significant province.
The STC militia has deployed hundreds of its fighters, backed by armored vehicles and patrols, in a number of districts overlooking the Arabian Sea and the Gulf of Aden, most notably Radhom, which houses the most crucial plant for exporting liquefied gas.
The action is a part of Saudi plans to keep Shabwa, the center of Yemen’s oil crescent, apart from the STC projects in Aden.
