Southern activist apologizes for his crimes against Yemen
SANAA, May 02 (YPA) – A well-known political activist in the “Southern Movement” has apologized to the Yemeni people for crimes he committed against Yemen, as he said.
The political activist in the “Southern Movement,” Abdulfattah Saleh, known as “Jamajem,” wrote in a tweet on Twitter Monday, saying: “Damn the day my brothers and I raised the flags of separation and demanded secession.”
Jamajem, who resides in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, has been subjected to a number of arrests and assassination attempts by the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militia in Aden and Hadramout.
“I apologize to all the Yemeni people for the crime that we called and chanted about in the streets of Aden, the crime of secession of the south from the Republic of Yemen,” said Jamajem. “We have returned the soul to the tyrants who ruled us after 1967 and who were dead after the blessed July 7, 1994.”
The southern activist attached a picture of him wearing a shirt bearing the flag of the secession, which the UAE-funded STC is calling for.
