Recruit in UAE-backed militia kills his father in Shabwa

SHABWA, April 26 (YPA) – A recruit in the so-called “Shabwa Defense Forces”, affiliated with the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC), on Tuesday, killed his father in  Al-Sa’eed district, Shabwa governorate,  southern Yemen.

This was reported by Yemen News Portal, based on the testimonies of local sources.

According to the local source, the soldier in the Shabwa Defense Forces, “Baligh Mohammed Saleh Al-Abed,” killed his father in the area of Al-Masha, in a crime that shook the whole directorate.

Today’s crime brought to mind a similar crime of a soldier in the Shabwa Defense Forces named “Amtheeb Ahmed Bahaj” who had killed his 55-year-old father late last year in Al-Rawdah district.

Activists warned that young people joining the UAE-backed Shabwa Defense Forces are taking drugs that kill mental powers.
