KHARTOUM, April 25 (YPA) – Dozens of Yemeni students in Sudan fled the capital, Khartoum, after the Yemeni embassy, loyal to the Saudi-led coalition, ignored their suffering. The students’ situation was exacerbated by violent confrontations between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
Sources reported that 43 Yemeni students arrived in the city of Port Sudan after they risked their lives and left Khartoum.
Earlier, the Yemeni Student Union announced a disclaimer about the evacuation of Yemeni students stranded in Sudan, due to the lack of help from the pro-coalition government.
The sources stated that the students borrowed money for travel expenses and did not find housing. They slept on the roof of one of the buildings because they did not have enough money.
While ignoring the evacuation of Yemeni nationals, Saudi Arabia evacuated nationals of 39 countries residing in Sudan via civilian aircraft, military transport and naval ships.
