Protest rally held in Taiz against coalition’s neglect of Wadi Al Jubara prisoners

TAIZ, April 16 (YPA) – Taiz province has witnessed a wave of popular anger on Sunday due to the Saudi-led coalition’s exclusion of prisoners of the Battle of Wadi Al Jubara in 2019.

Local sources in the coalition controlled areas of the province said that the families of the prisoners of the Battle of Wadi Al Jubara expressed their concern about the prisoners’ committee run by the coalition disavowing the sons of Taiz who were captured in the battle of Wadi Al Abu Jubara while defending the southern border of Saudi Arabia.

The sources said that the coalition’s intentional neglect to the prisoners from Taiz pushed the people to submit protests to the committee, calling on the coalition to move to release the prisoners from Taiz, who their number reaches about 1,500.

Saudi Arabia and the coalition-backed government had denied any links to the prisoners of Wadi Al Jubara.
