9 terrorist militants killed due to ambush in Somalia

SANAA, April 15 (YPA) – The Somali army announced on Saturday that nine of al-Shabaab extremist terrorists were killed and others were wounded during a military operation that took place in an area near Janali district of Lower Shabelle province.

The Somali national news agency quoted the head of the Defense Forces, Odeh Yusuf Rajeh, as saying: “Our forces, with the help of intelligence reports, took quick action against al-Shabaab militants, was ambushed a convoy of the African Union transitional mission in Somalia (AMISOM), on the road between Bufo site and Janale area south of the Somali capital, killing at least nine of them”.
