Syrian Foreign Minister arrives in Saudi Arabia

WORLD, April 13 (YPA) – At the invitation of Prince Faisal bin Farhan Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia, Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Dr. Faisal Mikdad and the accompanying delegation have arrived to the city of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia on a working visit to discuss bilateral relations and issues of mutual interest.

The Syrian news agency SANA reported that during the visit, talks will be held on bilateral relations between the two countries and issues of common interest.

Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister Walid Al-Khuraiji and a number of diplomats received Minister Mikdad and the accompanying delegation upon their arrival at Jeddah Airport.

The Saudi agency “SPA” confirmed that the visit came to hold talks on efforts to reach a political solution to the Syrian crisis that preserves Syria’s unity, security and stability, facilitates the return of Syrian refugees to their homeland, and secures humanitarian aid to the affected areas in Syria.
