SHABWA, April 05 (YPA) – About five oil wells in Yemeni Shabwa provincegot exposed to steal and loot by the Saudi-led coalition’s armed factions.
A document, issued by the “Yemeni Investments Company” last February, confirmed that the crude oil wells in Sector “5” being stolen, indicating that PetroMasila Company, is the operator of Sector 5, has complained attacks on crude oil wells in the sector and incidents of theft, exposing the area to environmental pollution.
Another document issued by the operations of the Shabwa province, on February 3 of the same month, showed that the attacks targeted five wells, No. 7, 19, 20, 23 and 24, in the Heliwa and Al-Nasr fields, located within the framework of the Hunt American company-run Sector 5 in Osaylan district in the same province.
The Saudi-Emirati coalition financed the destruction of crude oil transport pipelines in Shabwa and the smuggling of crude oil, following Sanaa government waged operations to stop looting Yemeni crude oil last October.
The coalition countries have carried out a massive looting of Yemeni oil since 2016, at a value of more than $14 billion, without paying the State employees’ salaries, which have been suspended since the transfer of the Central Bank from Sanaa to Aden in September 2016, amid commitments to pay their salaries in vain.
