Shura Council condemns repeated Israeli attacks on Syria, Palestine

SANAA, April 03 (YPA) – The Shura Council strongly condemned the Zionist entity’s decision to close Gaza and the West Bank, starting next Wednesday, to celebrate the Jewish Passover holiday. The announcement coincided with calls by Jewish temple organizations to bring animal offerings to the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

In its meeting, Sunday, the council considered the decision and the accompanying calls and incursions by dozens of settlers into the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa as dangerous steps that threaten to escalate the situation and raise the pace of violence in the occupied territories.

The Council condemned the repeated hostile attacks carried out by the Zionist entity’s warplanes on Arab and Syrian territories, the latest of which was the bombing of a number of centers and points in the Syrian capital, Damascus, and its suburbs.

It indicated that those aggressive practices pursued by Zionist enemy are a natural result of the failure of the regimes normalized with the entity to the Palestinian cause and Arab issues. The enemy government is taking proactive measures to divert attention from the internal crises of the entity and the deep divisions that it is witnessing.

The  Council drew attention to the importance of participating in the anger marches next Tuesday, in defense of its sanctity and thwarting Zionist plans.

It called on the Association of Senates, Shura Councils, and similar councils in Africa and the Arab world, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, and the United Nations to condemn these hostile acts and work to take firm positions to prevent the settlers of the enemy entity from desecrating the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and not to provoke the feelings of millions of Muslims in the world.
