Tebboune: Algeria can be a mediator in resolving Ukraine crisis

WORLD, March 22 (YPA) -Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune said his country is qualified for a mediating role in the Ukraine crisis.

In an interview with Al Jazeera TV channel, the Algerian president affirmed “Algeria can play a mediating role in the Ukraine crisis. We are among the few countries that have sufficient confidence in this matter.”

The Algerian President also said he would visit Russia in May 2023 on an invitation from his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

Earlier, Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said that preparations for Tebboune’s visit to Russia have begun, but the dates have not been determined yet.
